This handy plastic scoop/measuring spoon is a good approximation for those of you that haven’t invested in a set of scales yet…

Whilst it is called a 7g scoop, the yield will be affected by the grind being used – if the grind is coarse (for cafetiere or cold brew say) then the weight may be less than 7g and conversely if the grind is fine (for espresso or moka pot say) it may measure more!!

Needless to say scales will be more accurate, but with regular use a scoop will help you to make coffee to your desired taste…
